Xiaomi Launches New Car Management App Ahead of Electric Vehicle Release

  • 26-March-2024

As the company prepares to introduce its first electric car next week, Xiaomi is doing everything possible. A new app called "Xiaomi Car" has been released by the technology giant on the Chinese Apple App Store in an attempt to create anticipation.

As soon as the Xiaomi EV is released, users will be able to operate and control many of its features with an app. Features like temperature control in the cabin, remote battery monitoring, and vehicle location services would fall under this category. With the release of the app, Xiaomi has demonstrated its dedication to giving EV owners a flawless online experience.

Xiaomi will have a historic occasion on Thursday when it formally unveils the eagerly anticipated SUV7 electric vehicle. Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, had previously stated that the SUV7 would provide class-leading acceleration and range at a price that was appealing—less than 500,000 yuan. Two battery variants with single-charge capacities of up to 668 km and 800 km, respectively, are anticipated.

Xiaomi wants to create the “best looking, easiest to drive, and smartest car” in the expanding Chinese EV market by optimizing both design and technology. Pre-orders for the SUV7 will also open after the launch party, which is set to begin at 7 p.m. local time.

Xiaomi sees a lot of promise in electric vehicles due to consumer demand for tech-forward features and more environmentally friendly options. The company is making every effort to realize its goal of becoming a leading electric vehicle manufacturer globally, having already committed $10 billion. An early sign that this strategic focus and vision are becoming a reality is the release of the new car app.
