Withings releases a high-end ScanWatch 2 hybrid wristwatch

  • 07-December-2023

Withings, a French company, recently introduced a high-end version of their ScanWatch 2 hybrid smartwatch, which was one of their earlier offerings. The company's website is currently selling the new ScanWatch Nova for $600. The oyster bracelet that comes with the smartwatch tapers from 20 to 18 mm and is offered in three colors: green, blue, and black.

The ScanWatch Nova is among the most cutting-edge health-focused smartwatches on the market, much like the original model. Users of the wearable device can access on-demand medical-grade ECGs, which can identify atrial fibrillation and other possible cardiac irregularities.

Remarkably, since 2020, the ScanWatch 2 has detected almost 2 million instances of AFib. Launching an ECG reading with real-time results on the Withings app only takes 30 seconds.

The hybrid wristwatch also provides blood oxygen (SpO2) on-demand. It can also monitor average blood oxygen levels while you sleep, as well as breathing irregularities during the night.

In addition to tracking a multitude of metrics, such as steps, calories burned, elevation, and training routes, the new ScanWatch Nova is also capable of automatically identifying over 40 common activities, including cycling, swimming, walking, and running.

The ScanWatch 2 luxury edition has a sophisticated sunray dial, a stainless steel case with a mirror polish, water resistance up to 10 ATM, and anti-reflection sapphire glass protection.

The ScanWatch Nova is renowned for having a 30-day battery life, according to Withings. With the USB-C cable that is included with the smartwatch, it can be fully charged in less than two hours.
