Tissot Marks 25 Years as MotoGP Partners with New Chronographs

  • 16-March-2024

In honor of the anniversaries, there are two limited editions in the spring 2024 drop.

Three models with a Powermatic 80 automatic movement also bring a new design and movement to the T-Race series. Two other extensions of the T-Race Chronograph Quartz range are unrelated to MotoGP.

With an automatic Valjoux A05 chronograph movement with Nivachron hairspring in a 45mm x 14.79mm steel case, this limited edition 2,024 piece watch is perfect for enthusiasts of the finest mechanical devices.

With details that resemble the pushers, brake discs, and cooling fins of superbikes, the watch's design is influenced by the MotoGP. Features a closed steel caseback with the MotoGP 75th anniversary logo.

Large lume-filled hour markers at 12, 4, and 8 are accommodated by the dial's blue color, which is accented with red and grey to match the MotoGP series' colors. The dial also features chronograph counters and a small seconds subdial at 2, 6, and 10 o'clock.

Prior to the watch's release at the end of March, Tissot is accepting expressions of interest. It will be shipped in a case that resembles a motorcyclist's crash helmet and costs $650.

Limited to 8,000 pieces, the Tissot T-Race MotoGP Chronograph Quartz 75th Anniversary features a dial with the standard 3, 6, 9 pattern of subdials, framed by a darker bezel that features the 75th anniversary logo in the 30-second chronograph counter.

The watch is worn on a rubber strap in the iconic blue color of MotoGP, just like the Valjoux model. At the end of March, it will be available for $2,095.

Tissot has also unveiled two T-Race Chronograph Quartz watches with integrated steel bracelets, in addition to the MotoGP specials.

One has a black dial, the other a white one. The bezels of the two 45mm watches are identical and resemble engine cooling ducts and brake discs on the side of the case. These are sealed to keep the 100-meter-deep Swiss quartz movement safe from water damage.

They currently cost $575.

Finally, three sporty three-handers with date, all made by Swatch and featuring the same Powermatic 80 movement as the popular PRX line, round out the T-Race collection. They offer a fresh look for the family.

Steel bracelets or integrated black rubber straps can be worn with models made of steel, either with or without a gold-colored treatment.

Hour markers and fixed bezels with visible screws, as well as wide lume-filled hands, finish the design.
