The ScanWatch Nova is the newest smartwatch that Withings has to offer. Earlier this year, the ScanWatch 2 hybrid smartwatch was introduced in a luxury version with enhanced health and activity tracking features and a classic diver-style design.
All of the ScanWatch 2's key health features—a 24/7 body temperature monitor, an on-demand ECG, SpO2, sophisticated activity tracking, and a thorough sleep analysis—are included in the ScanWatch Nova. Its battery life is also impressive, lasting up to 30 days between charges.
Like other Withings watches, the ScanWatch Nova is paired with both Android and iOS devices and is water-resistant up to 50 meters.
The watch features a ceramic and stainless steel rotating bezel with laser-engraved markings that include the accepted diving practices. Because they are hollow and filled with Lumina, the watch hands, indicators, and indices are visible in low light. Because the indices are raised and thick, they are simple to read.
In addition, the ScanWatch Nova has a mirror-polished stainless steel case and a sundial. Notifications are presented on an easy-to-use OLED high-resolution grayscale screen, and the display is shielded from reflection by sapphire glass with anti-reflection coating. The workmanship on this piece of art is so impressive that it surpasses even the Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.
"The magnificent timepiece imperceptibly embeds a powerful health scan, with all the cutting-edge innovations to enhance your health, wrapped in a stylish aesthetic inspired by the timeless tradition of diver-style watchmaking," says Withings product manager Etienne Trégaro.
Similar to the ScanWatch 2, the ScanWatch Nova provides an on-demand medical-grade ECG for the purpose of identifying possible cardiac irregularities, such as atrial fibrillation. Additionally, it monitors changes in body temperature throughout the day and night, which may signal the start of a disease. Also, the watch has an on-demand blood oxygen level (SpO2) measurement feature. Hypoxia, the term for low blood oxygenation, may be indicated by a value less than 90%.
Together with standard fitness metrics like steps, calories, elevations, and training routes, additional features include sleep tracking.
Right now, the Withings website is accepting preorders for the ScanWatch Nova. An oyster bracelet tapering from 20 to 18 mm is included for $600, making it a snug and comfortable fit. The colors blue, green, and black are your options. Mid-January is anticipated to see the arrival of the first shipment of watches.
