This fantastic AI freebie might be included with the Samsung Galaxy S25 for millions of people

As Samsung looks to expand on the Galaxy AI capabilities it introduced last year, the Galaxy S25 is already expected to be packed with AI features when it launches as early as this month. However, Google's Gemini Advanced AI models are available for free, so Samsung may need outside assistance to sweeten the pot.

According to Android Authority, code in a Google app beta that suggests free trial subscriptions for the new Galaxy S25 models was discovered during an APK deconstruction. This would enable users of Samsung's upcoming flagship devices to benefit from the more sophisticated AI models made available by Google's AI tool.

Telephones with Gemini Advanced access are not unheard of. For instance, the Google Pixel 9 Pro models that were released last year come with a one-year membership to Gemini Advanced.

Based on the code snippets that have been found, Samsung might be implementing Gemini Advanced access in a more phased manner. Different Gemini Advanced trial periods are included in those snippets, which feed rumors that different models will have free access for varying amounts of time. The Galaxy S25 would have a three-month trial in this situation, according to Android Authority, and the Galaxy S25 Plus would be eligible for six months of Gemini Advanced access. The AI service would reportedly be available for a full year on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Recently, phone manufacturers have placed a lot of emphasis on artificial intelligence (AI), and Samsung has been a key player in this endeavor. Galaxy AI tools for image generating, writing, and other AI-powered features were unveiled at the launch of the Galaxy S24 last year. Later, Galaxy AI was extended to previous Samsung flagships, and the latest foldables from Samsung were introduced in the middle of the year, expanding the range of Galaxy AI features.

With reports suggesting that the Bixby digital assistant would be given more AI capabilities, Galaxy AI is also expected to play a significant role in the introduction of the Galaxy S25. The AI feature set on Samsung's upcoming phones would be further expanded with the addition of Gemini Advanced access. Additionally, it could be interpreted as a retaliation against Apple's efforts with Apple Intelligence, which included ChatGPT integration in the iOS 18.2 update released last month.

Although previous flagship announcements have occurred in the early months of the year, Samsung has not disclosed plans for a Galaxy S25 debut. For instance, the Galaxy S24 was launched in January 2024.

In light of this, there are predictions that the Galaxy Unpacked 2025 event will be on January 22. If that's the case, Samsung should be sending out invitations soon. This will help us determine if Gemini Advanced will be included in the Galaxy S25's feature list.
