Numerous new features for the Android ecosystem of devices have been announced by Google. As the year draws to a close, Google has users by adding new features to smart TVs running Google TV, Wear OS smartwatches, and Android smartphones.

The Gboard app for Android smartphones and tablets is getting additional Emoji Kitchen combinations, which allows you to combine two standard emojis to create more original emojis. This is the first update. Additionally, the voice messaging feature of the Google Messages app is improving in terms of conveying your feelings and moods. This feature, which matches the voice message's tone, adds an emoji and a background color. It is currently in beta. Emoji responses to messages are also becoming more noticeable in Google Messages.

The other participant in the chat thread can see larger emoji animations when you respond to a message. Ten additional free internet-streaming TV channels are now available for smart TVs running Google TV. With Google TV's Live TV tab and a visit to the Free TV Channels section, users can now watch documentaries, movies, TV shows, and more from over 100 free TV channels.

Controlling smart home devices is now easier for wear OS-based smartwatches, such as the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 6. For instance, they can use the color picker in the Google Home app to alter the hue of a compatible smart lightbulb. Other features that users can manage include focus periods, device on/off switches, and docking compatible smart home appliances like vacuums and mops. You can flip a simple switch to set your home presence status as Home or Away using the same app. This is very helpful if the presence sensor in your smart home isn't working properly.

Voice commands on Wear OS smartwatches will soon allow users to initiate Assistant Routines. Additionally, users can customize their FIDO2 security key PIN. As a result, no one else can access it if your physical digital security key is lost because they would need to know the PIN. On their Wear OS smartwatch, users can view their important tasks and updates, including event reminders, travel updates, and weather conditions, by using the new Assistant At A Glance shortcut.

New accessibility features have also been added by Google. Android smartphones and tablets with the TalkBack feature can now use artificial intelligence (AI) to identify what's in an image when a description is missing and alert users to that information. For those who are blind or have other visual impairments, this is incredibly helpful. Google Assistant can be used to text a response during phone calls, just like Bixby Text Call on One UI 6.0. The recipient of the text message will be able to understand it thanks to Google Assistant. For voice calls and media playback on devices, more languages will be supported with live captioning.
