With intriguing new motorcycle launches and some with astounding prices, 2023 has been a great year for motorcycle enthusiasts. The much-discussed R3 and MT-03 are finally released by Yamaha as the year draws to a close.
While other manufacturers, including Triumph, Hero, Harley-Davidson, and others, were introducing new motorcycles, Aprilia also introduced the RS457. In no particular order, these are top ten selections.
The most anticipated motorcycle launch of 2023 was likely the 390 Duke, which received a significant overhaul that included new parts for the engine, chassis, and other components. The 390 has elevated the already thrilling platform, and the new 399cc engine produces even more power. When operated by experienced riders, the additional electronics make the motorcycle enjoyable.
Prior to their official release, the Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X were leaked numerous times, and the cost of the entry-level Triumph bikes took the world by surprise. As an introductory offer, the Speed 400 was priced at Rs 2.23 lakh, while the Scrambler 400X was introduced at Rs 2.62 lakh.
Another significant update for the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V is the addition of USD forks and aggressive styling for 2023, making it a motorcycle worth taking into account in this segment. Additionally, the top-spec trim gets features like an LCD instrument cluster with phone connectivity and KYB suspension.
A few days prior to the Triumph twins' release, the Hero-Harley developed X440 was introduced, and its price point—especially when considering how inexpensive it was—made it a desirable motorcycle. The X440 is a relaxed motorcycle, not like the Triumph or the KTM, and it's Harley's first single-cylinder in many years.

Due to its previous sales in India, the Yamaha R3 is a well-known motorcycle. But Yamaha was forced to remove the R3 from India when the BS6 regulations took effect. The Yamaha MT-03, which debuted alongside the R3, is the street naked's first offering in this market. The MT-03, which costs Rs 4.59 lakh, shares the same platform as the R3 and is equipped with a 41-bhp parallel-twin engine. Still, the 390 Duke leads the segment and has raised the bar for rivals.
Given that the entire motorcycle—from the chassis to the engine—is new, the Himalayan may be the most significant on this list. The Royal Enfield Himalayan, with its new liquid-cooled 450cc engine and tall suspension setup that gives it a go-anywhere attitude, is gradually becoming the unicorn in the eyes of many riders.
The RTR 310 was a surprise to TVS in a lot of ways. Its base engine is the same as the RR 310's, but it produces more power. A quickshifter, ventilated seat, and adaptive headlights that brighten with speed are just a few of the additional features it receives. The price tag of more than Rs 3 lakh on the road, however, is the bigger surprise.
