Some Significant Improvements are Coming to the Google Photos Video Editor

  • 01-August-2024

In addition to providing a video editor and several cool photo editing techniques, Google Photos appears to be receiving some much-needed and actually helpful updates soon.

Hidden code found in the most recent version of the Google Photos app for Android, as discovered by Android Authority, indicates a number of improvements that will be especially helpful for users who aren't too familiar with the app's video-editing features.

The most significant improvement appears to be the larger buttons for the Enhance, Stabilize, and Mute features, clearly labeled. This makes the function of these buttons much more clear since they are currently represented by smaller images alone.

Open a video clip within the Google Photos app, then tap the Edit button to access the video editor.

The future playback-speed control function, which has actually been seen before, is also revealed by this examination of the Android app. Although it isn't live yet, users will be able to adjust the speed at which films play.

It appears that the feature's maximum speed increase or decrease will be 4x. It will be possible to make the modification to the entire movie or just a portion of it.

Although there's no word on when the Google Photos update will go out, it appears that most of the required code is now in place, so it shouldn't be too long before we see these changes on Android.
