Samsung is set to add even more features to its Galaxy Watches to cater to fitness and health aficionados. With the impending One UI 6 Watch upgrade, the company is introducing Galaxy AI, which was initially seen on the Galaxy S24 phones, to its smartwatches.
Energy Score is one of the main components of Galaxy AI on the Galaxy Watch. This tool provides a comprehensive picture of your overall well-being by analyzing multiple health parameters, such as heart rate, daily activity, and sleep patterns.
In order to assist individuals in reaching their unique health objectives, Galaxy AI also provides individualized Wellness Tips. The Galaxy Watch will offer personalized coaching and motivation, regardless of your exercise goals or sleep quality issues.
The new version significantly enhances sleep tracking for people who place a high priority on sleep health. A more thorough examination of your sleep quality, taking into account variables like respiratory rate, movement during sleep, and sleep latency, is provided by the improved sleep AI algorithm. Users can better understand their sleep habits and pinpoint areas for development with the use of this comprehensive data.
Galaxy AI provides additional capabilities for fitness enthusiasts to exercise more efficiently. To maximize their running workouts, runners might benefit from comprehensive data on their anaerobic threshold (AnT) and aerobic threshold (AT). Functional Threshold Power (FTP) measures are made available to cyclists, enabling them to tailor their power training and achieve peak performance.
Additionally, the update adds a new feature called Workout Routine, which makes it easy to switch between different activities during a workout. Runners and cyclists can also compare their present performance to previous efforts made on the same routes by using the Race feature.
The forthcoming Galaxy Watch lineup with One UI 6 Watch will have the new features available later this year. Beginning in June, the Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic, Galaxy Watch5, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Galaxy Watch6, and Galaxy Watch6 Classic will be eligible for a restricted beta program.
For Galaxy AI on smartwatches, this is only the beginning. With impending hardware enhancements in the next Galaxy Watch series, Samsung pledges to demonstrate AI's full potential.
