Many people have been wondering if Samsung would give its products the "Fan Edition (FE)" treatment, even if foldable phones have had their ups and downs. A new Galaxy FE smartphone typically indicates that it is slightly less expensive than its non-FE counterparts.
Given that the "Galaxy Z Flip XE" was discovered in the GSMA database, it appears that Samsung is already preparing for its upcoming line of foldable phones. You're a little out of luck if you were expecting this listing to provide any details. Nonetheless, it appears that the database listing validates the SM-F761B model number.
There have been rumors that Samsung is considering producing a foldable phone at a lower cost. Rumor had it that Samsung will release the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which would be powered by the Exynos 2400e, in late November along with the Flip 7 and Fold 7.
The Galaxy S24 FE also uses this processor, which provides good performance and gives Samsung a way to enter the market at a lesser price. The Exynos 2500, which has not yet been formally revealed, is rumored to power the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
According to a recent report, Samsung is significantly reducing its 2025 foldable phone sales projections. According to reports, the business intends to sell five million units, of which three million will be Flip 7s and the remaining units will be Fold 7. However, the Flip 7 FE's potential release is not considered in this most current report.
However, there may be a little more at Samsung's summer 2025 launch event than just a new foldable phone. Though not in the form of the Fan Edition, the firm may actually bring back a fan favorite.
In the GSMA database, SmartPrix discovered an additional Samsung device that was not publicly disclosed. Additionally visible were the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and its model number, SM-L505U.
This is especially intriguing because the Galaxy Watch 7 selection did not include the "Classic" model. Samsung chose to release the new Galaxy Watch Ultra concurrently with the Watch 7 in two sizes.
The physical spinning bezel is the primary difference between the "regular" Watch and the Watch Classic. Although Samsung has been providing a touch-sensitive bezel on the Watch for a few years, the physical option is still more dependable.
With the Classic, Samsung now seems to be adopting a "on again, off again" strategy. From that angle, it seems obvious that the Galaxy Watch 8 would include this feature, but some people wish Samsung would simply continue to include it in the annual update.
Unannounced gadgets frequently go through these types of databases ahead of schedule, so don't get too excited about a change to an earlier release timetable just yet. In light of this, we anticipate no formal announcement until the summer of 2025.
