Dr. TM Roh, CEO and President of Samsung MX, claims in an editorial that the Korean behemoth intends to integrate AI capabilities into its smartwatches in the future. According to Dr. Roh, the company hopes to "unlock a whole new era of expanded, intelligent health experiences" by utilizing AI to improve digital health and wellbeing. He adds that in the future, Samsung intends to collaborate with partners to create new experiences for wearable technology.
The privacy aspect of AI was also briefly discussed by TM Roh, who noted that Samsung has addressed users' concerns by offering both on-device and cloud-based AI processing, giving users the option to choose whether or not to send data to Samsung's servers for processing. He said that Samsung will keep offering consumers transparency and choice in the future.
