Samsung Health Function may Eventually be Available on the Apple Watch Series 10

These days, "smartwatches can track our health fairly well. This includes tracking our sleep cycles, monitoring our heart rates, and checking our hearts for irregular rhythms, among other things. However, there are other health-related features that we would like to see, and Apple Watch Series 10 may eventually include a feature like blood pressure monitoring."

In his most recent Power On newsletter, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg says this. The analyst appears to be fairly optimistic about the possibility of blood pressure monitoring being included in the upcoming Apple Watch. Additionally, Gurman mentions that this is a hardware feature. Thus, it won't be available as a software update for older Apple Watches.

Before you get too excited, it won’t be a full-blown blood pressure monitoring tool. Instead, it will be used just to inform users if their blood pressure levels are trending upwards. Apparently future iterations will become more accurate, but the initial launch is more for alerts.

Apple wouldn't be the first to enable smartwatch blood pressure monitoring. Similar functionality is available from Samsung for the Galaxy Watch 5 and 6, and it requires users to calibrate the device using a blood pressure monitoring cuff. The Huawei Watch D, which employs an inflatable cuff, is likewise comparable.

they should expect further information later this fall, but for now, take this rumor with a grain of salt as its veracity is unknown.
