Samsung Galaxy Fit 3 Activity Band is Available

  • 22-February-2024

As the follow-up to the 2020-released Galaxy Fit 2, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Fit 3 fitness band today, offering several functional and aesthetic enhancements.

According to Igeekphone, the Galaxy Fit 3's 1.57-inch full-color OLED screen is 45% larger than the one on its predecessor, which facilitates fast information viewing for users. The IP68 and 5ATM dust and water resistance ratings are applied to the aluminum bracelet. The silicone strap can be easily replaced thanks to its one-click disassembly design.

An accelerometer, gyroscope, and heart rate monitor are integrated into the Galaxy Fit 3 to monitor daily activities, fitness, sleep patterns, stress levels, and exercise. With a paired smartphone, all data can be synced to the Samsung Health App. Sadly, the bracelet lacks an internal GPS chip, so it is unable to track movement apart from the phone.

Through the Samsung Wearables app, users can select from over 100 different watch face styles for the Galaxy Fit 3. The band can also be used to control media playback on a paired phone or as a remote shutter for a smartphone camera. The gadget can also be used to locate a misplaced smartphone. In case of an emergency, family members or emergency contacts can be reached via the wristband's emergency SOS and fall detection features. Note that the band is unable to take calls because it is without a speaker or microphone.

Other features of the Galaxy Fit 3 include the ability to sync the phone's sleep or do not disturb modes to the wristband. It also supports synchronization modes with Samsung phones. The Galaxy Fit 3 has a 13-day battery life, according to Samsung.

The Galaxy Fit 3, which comes in grey, pink gold, and silver, will go on sale in Asia, Central America, Europe, and South America on February 23. South Korea will be added to the list of countries at a later time.
