In 2024, LeCoutre makes a big splash by introducing a new Master Ultra Thin watch that features a tourbillon and a large calendar at both the top and bottom of a blue Grand Feu enamel dial.
The watch oozes opulence in its 40mm 18ct rose gold case that stands a mere 12.1mm high on the wrist.
The automatic Calibre 978 tourbillon movement by Jaeger-LeCoultre, which debuted in 2009 and was awarded an international chronometry prize, powers it.
JLC is among the few maisons that has the ability to produce its own balance springs on-site.
Using six passages of a manually operated rose engine lathe and expert guidance from a guillocheur who makes sure every line is absolutely straight, evenly spaced, and perfectly aligned, the dial is another technical and artistic marvel. It features a 180-sun ray hand-guilloché pattern.
Next, to create distinct blue tones, the dial is covered in multiple layers of Grand Feu enamel.
“With its dramatically beautiful dial and sophisticated calibre, the new Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Enamel is an eloquent expression of La Grande Maison’s philosophy of uniting technical virtuosity with enduring beauty and timeless aesthetics,” Jaeger LeCoultre says.
A blue leather alligator strap is attached to the watch.
The US price is $119,000 for this item.
