The Chinese certification website TENAA now lists a new OnePlus smartwatch. This reveals the layout and specifics of the watch, including its networking capabilities. The latter's intriguing feature is that this model supports LTE and cellular networks.

Spied is a New LTE-Capable OnePlus Watch

A new OnePlus wristwatch with model number OPWW234 was found by users of MySmartPrice.

A OnePlus smartwatch bearing model number OPWWE234 was earlier observed on the BIS website in India. This model number, OPWWE231, is extremely similar to that of the OnePlus Watch 2.

The TENAA filing indicates that GPS, eSIM functionality, and "long battery life" are features of the future watch.

Calls and other phone operations will be available via the LTE network with the eSIM. Thus, you may use the watch to manage calls, send and receive SMS, and access data without requiring a phone connection.

There is no cellular connectivity available with the OnePlus Watch 2. Therefore, this forthcoming watch might be either a new OnePlus Watch 2 variation or the OnePlus Watch 3.

The Look and Features of the Upcoming OnePlus Smartwatch

Design: This device has the same appearance as the OnePlus Watch 2 in the provided render. This comprises a steel buckle, two buttons on its protruding right side, a round dial, and the strap design.

Networking: According to the listing, the watch is compatible with Bluetooth, NFC, and GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and WLAN navigation systems. These features are also available on the Watch 2.

Battery: It seems to be equipped with the same 500mAh battery as the Watch 2. A 100-hour battery backup could be possible due to the lengthy battery life. Although the watch might not come with a charger in the box, a recent 3C listing indicates that it might enable 10W charging.

That this is not the OnePlus Watch 3, but rather a new version of the OnePlus Watch 2, maybe dubbed the OnePlus Watch 2 LTE.

In that case, the future OnePlus watch model might feature a 1.43-inch 60Hz AMOLED screen with 1,000 nits of brightness, support for 5ATM+IP68, MIL-STD-810H, WearOS, and over 100 sports modes. Watch to discover if it adopts the same Snapdragon W5 + BES2700 dual-chipset configuration or updates it.
