At the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024 in Barcelona, today (February 26), OnePlus is set to unveil its most recent invention, the OnePlus Watch 2. Planned to launch the smartwatch globally and in India simultaneously is a dedicated Amazon microsite. The OnePlus Watch 2 made its appearance at the FCC ahead of its planned launch. Unveiled during the certification process, the watch will have a large 500mAh battery, which is unusual for a wristwatch.

To put things in perspective, the larger-sized Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 runs on a 425 mAh battery, whereas the original OnePlus Watch had a 402 mAh battery. The larger 500mAh battery makes the OnePlus Watch 2 stand out when it releases. It's important to remember, though, that the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro presently holds the top spot thanks to its strong 590mAh battery.

Price Leak for OnePlus Watch 2

The retail price of the OnePlus Watch 2 is expected to be Rs 24,999 in India, $299 in the US, 329 euros in Europe, and 299 pounds in the UK, as per tipster Ishan Agrawal. This is happening right before the smartwatch is formally unveiled.

"The Watch 2 reappeared after a three-year break and a contemplative period after the release of the OnePlus Watch 1, and we are more optimistic than ever about this product. This confidence is well-founded, as it is based on significant developments in our technological capabilities and ecosystem." Watch 2 demonstrates our commitment to changing from being a "Flagship Killer" to a "Ecosystem Builder." Kinder Liu, the COO and president of OnePlus, said in a statement last week that "it will provide you with experience that's not just improved, but transformed."

Specifications and Expected Features of the OnePlus Watch 2

The 1.43-inch AMOLED display on the OnePlus Watch 2 is anticipated to be an upgrade from the 1.39-inch screen on the original OnePlus Watch, according to earlier and leaks. According to the already-leaked renders, the smartwatch is expected to retain its circular dial, metal casing, two side buttons, and speaker grille for Bluetooth calling.

Along with 5ATM + IP68 water and dust resistance, additional features that are anticipated are GPS functionality continuing. Furthermore, the OnePlus Watch 2 might have a bigger battery than the 402mAh battery that was included with the original OnePlus Watch because of its anticipated switch from RTOS to WearOS.

In India, the Pixel Watch 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 series are expected to compete with the OnePlus Watch 2 launch. It is unclear if the price will be less than that of these rivals, and an announcement is anticipated in the coming days.
