Huawei Watch Fit 3, a Less Expensive Rival to the Apple Watch SE, Debuts

  • 07-May-2024

The Watch Fit 3, a new affordable smartwatch from Huawei, has officially been unveiled. It is less expensive than the Apple Watch SE, with a starting price of „159 (roughly $171). But Huawei's most recent wearable has more features than Apple's more affordable option.

The Huawei Watch Fit 3, the brand's new entry-level smartwatch, has debuted. It costs less than the Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen 40 mm GPS, currently $189 on Amazon), with a starting price of „159 (roughly $171). Nonetheless, Huawei has added more features to the new wearable in an effort to improve the user experience.

Huawei draws attention to the Watch Fit 3's innovative design among all the other notable features. The new smartwatch has a square-faced housing in place of the previous model's rectangular body. It bears a striking resemblance to Apple's smartwatches, but that's not the only design cue the company took inspiration from.

In addition, the digital crown and side button placement of the Huawei Watch Fit 3 are comparable. Even though it appears to be a copy of the Apple Watch, there are a number of unique features. To start with, it has more fitness and health features than Apple's most affordable smartwatch. As an illustration, the SpO2 function is present but absent from the Watch SE.

Next, the Watch Fit 3 features a hybrid AMOLED display with a 1500 nit maximum brightness rating. However, the Apple Watch SE has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits. According to Huawei, the goal of this screen and the upgraded UI is to provide simple touch-screen navigation.

Additionally, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 has twice as much battery life. Up to ten days of runtime are promised by the new smartwatch. Additionally, it features a quick charge function that requires just 10 minutes to fully charge the battery for a full day.

Nevertheless, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 isn't a perfect fit for the Apple ecosystem despite all these benefits. Ultimately, it is powered by a proprietary operating system. Furthermore, app support is not mentioned. All things considered, at „159 for the base model, it is a decent smartwatch for those seeking a stylish wearable with lots of fitness and health capabilities.
