Huawei Updates the Watch D Blood Pressure Smartwatch with New Features

  • 30-April-2024

In China, a new model of the Huawei Watch D—which is intended to measure blood pressure—is being released. A number of new features and enhancements are included in HarmonyOS 2.1.0.399, which is being released for wearables. These include alarm clock and always-on display related tools.

For the Watch D wearable, Huawei has released an update in China. With a band resembling a blood pressure cuff, the model debuted in China towards the end of 2021 and made its way to Europe in October of the same year. HarmonyOS 2.1.0.399, which offers a number of new features, is currently being installed on the watch.

Among these is an extra sleep mode for the Watch D that disables the wake-up and wake-up functions. During national holidays, the alarm clock can be set to turn off automatically.

Additionally, a shortcut menu allows you to open apps quickly. Additionally, there is a tool to turn on the screen whenever a notification comes in. Up to ten alarms can be set simultaneously, and system stability has been improved.

Although Huawei has not released any additional information, it is that the interface has been optimized in certain areas.

Users can manually check for the update via the watch's settings or the companion app, just like they have with previous Huawei Watch D smartwatch updates. It is unclear when or if users in other markets, such as Europe, will be able to access the update.

It's also unclear when HarmonyOS 4.2 will be released for this wearable. In other news, there are rumors that the recently announced Huawei Watch 4 Pro will be available in Europe.
