Honor Band 9 makes its debut as a Reasonably Priced Fitness Tracker with a 14-day battery Life

China has seen the release of Honor's Band 9. This model is considered the replacement for the Band 7 and offers several enhancements. First off, the updated fitness tracker sports a bigger 1.57-inch AMOLED screen compared to the 1.47-inch screen on the older model. The screen resolution has also increased, going from 194 x 368 pixels to 256 x 402 pixels. With these two enhancements, the display will have sharper visuals and more information that is visible at a glance.

The Honor Band 9's design is reminiscent of that of its predecessor. But there are various color options available for the new fitness tracker. The new one weighs 1.7 grams less than the Band 7 and appears to have a different build. It does not, however, have an official IP rating and continues to have a 5 ATM water resistance rating.

Next up, there has also been an internal upgrade for the Honor Band 9. Whereas the previous model had Bluetooth 5.0 with LE support, the new tracker has Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy. Increased wireless connection reliability is anticipated as a result of this connectivity upgrade.

The fitness tracker can continuously measure SpO2 and heart rate in order to monitor health. Aside from that, it can assist in tracking other health metrics like sleep.

The updated running mode of the new tracker provides a "personal training experience" in terms of fitness. To help achieve fitness objectives, the Band 9 also features 96 sports modes. Extra features to track fitness and health are available in the companion app.

Being rated for up to 14 days of runtime with "typical usage" is another impressive feature of the Honor Band 9. A two-week maximum runtime is still suitable for a fitness tracker, even though this model's battery life rating is the same as the previous one. Playback control over music, app notifications, call alerts, alarms, and weather are among the other features.

Honor's Band 9 is available in China for CNY 249 (roughly $35) for the standard model and CNY 299 (roughly $42) for the NFC variant. Although the predecessor made its debut internationally, the current version is not yet available everywhere. Currently available in international markets, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 is a good substitute and can be purchased on Amazon.
