The Pixel Watch 2 won't be replaced by Google for some time. Meanwhile, a usually trustworthy leaker has uncovered the design of the Pixel Watch 3 and said that Google may eventually implement thinner display bezels as well.
91mobiles and @OnLeaks have teamed together once more to share a fresh batch of render photos created using CAD. This time, the two have revealed the Pixel Watch 3 to the public about four months ahead of schedule. To put things in perspective, Google has released new smartwatches in tandem with the flagship Pixel smartphone throughout the past two years. The Pixel Watch 3 will therefore most likely be formally unveiled by the company together with the Pixel 9 series, which is presently anticipated to include four models, including a Pixel Fold successor.
The Pixel Watch 2 (now available on Amazon for $289.99) and the Pixel Watch 3 have very similar designs. The latter, for instance, appears to have a bezel-less design since it keeps the round display behind a concave glass cover. Additionally, Google's exclusive quick-release watch band mechanism and the locations of the speaker slot, secondary physical button, and digital crown are all permanent.
In contrast, it is reported that the Pixel Watch 3 would have a thickness of 14 mm, making it 1.7 mm thicker than the Pixel Watch 2. The new smartwatch, however, is slightly smaller than the Pixel Watch 2's 41 x 41 mm measurements, according to @OnLeaks and 91mobiles. It measures 40.79 x 40.73 mm. It appears like the Pixel Watch 3 has slimmer bezels than previous Pixel Watch models, though not as much as the render photos from @OnLeaks and 91mobiles suggest, given that the two believe Google will continue to include a 1.2-inch display.
that neither has offered comparable renders of the 45 mm Pixel Watch 3 that are rumored to exist. Still, a new chipset and an ultra-wideband (UWB) chip are anticipated for both versions, which will be used with Google's Find My Device program. A stock Wear OS 5 experience will also probably be shown off for the first time on the Pixel Watch 3. As an example, the highly customized Wear OS 5 version that Samsung's future Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches will run is named One UI Watch 6. These watches are scheduled to launch in July.
