Google Calendar could soon help you manage your hectic schedule

In order to manage their hectic calendars, including meetings, appointments, activities, and everything in between, many Android and iOS users rely on Google. Because of all that goes on, a lot of us depend on the app's capacity to synchronize various calendars. As you add a new event, it appears like Google may be working on simplifying Calendar's user interface to make switching between calendars faster and simpler.

The Events calendar of the active account is now used by default when you try to create a new event in Google Calendar. You can touch on your account details to get an extended view that shows all of your calendars across all of the accounts connected to your device if you wish to switch to a different calendar.

This configuration functions perfectly, however a possible modification that would make choosing the calendar for a new event simpler was discovered while looking through a recent Calendar update. A recent report claims that the Calendar for Android version 2025.01.1-713312946 offers the ability to enable a different user interface for the event creation page. With this new configuration, you may view all of your calendars at once without having to navigate to another menu.

You would still have to tap on the corresponding email to switch between accounts if you were managing more than one. But after you do, all the calendars associated with that account ought to show up in one convenient row. This is just the initial look at this UI change, and it could change before Google completes the layout.

Even if it's a minor upgrade, customers may find it more handy, and if Google chooses to make it available to everyone, I'm sure many will like it. Also, this move from Google may be just what Apple needs to keep ahead of the curve, as there are speculations that the company is working on a dedicated in-house event app.

In other Google news, Google Photos is getting ready to make a change that will give your favorite users a dedicated place. Additionally, the tech giant is expanding the user base for QR Code sharing for Android Quick Share. And with a focus on AI innovation, Google CEO Sundar Pichai is preparing for another significant year as 2025 gets underway.
