During Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event last year, the Galaxy Watch 6 series was introduced. With its most recent wearables, the South Korean electronics company has now added functionality for monitoring blood pressure and electrocardiography (ECG) in India. The Galaxy Watch 6 series offers new health-tracking capabilities that allow users to perform ECG tests from home and facilitate routine health check-ups. These features are accessible through the Samsung Health Monitor app. It has been verified that the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 series support the BP and ECG tracking functions.
Following regulatory clearances and certifications from India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organization, Samsung is enabling blood pressure monitoring and electrocardiogram (ECG) features on the Galaxy Watch 6 series in that country, an official press release claimed. Updates for the wearables will be distributed over-the-air (OTA) to devices, and the built-in Samsung Health Monitor app allows users to access the health tracking features. On the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 5, these features are expected to be made available.
The Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 5, and Galaxy Watch 4 models can be securely worn on the wrists to allow users to measure the rhythm of their heartbeat using the ECG tracking feature. A graph will display the data that is collected from sensors positioned on the skin, which will identify the electrical signals that the heart produces with each beat. It is possible for users to generate, record, store, and share ECG data with medical professionals using the Samsung Health Monitor app.
You can take an ECG whenever and wherever you choose after configuring the Samsung Health Monitor app on your Galaxy Watch and smartphone. To review the blood pressure measurements, you must slide the wearable up your wrist for a comfortable fit and calibrate it according to the instructions on the app.
To gauge ECG,
Connect your Galaxy Watch to your Galaxy smartphone.
Squeeze the Galaxy Watch firmly around your wrist, then launch the Samsung Health Monitor app.
For thirty seconds, place the tip of your other hand lightly on the top button of your Galaxy Watch.
To view the data, launch the Samsung Health Monitor app on your phone and tap the record.
