Fossibot W101: Extremely cheap AMOLED wristwatch with phone capabilities and purported blood pressure monitoring

  • 25-December-2023

A new smartwatch with good features and a reasonable price is called the Fossibot W101. An AMOLED screen is installed, and the number of sensors is quite generously provided by the manufacturer.

Readers may be familiar with Fossibot from its smartphones, but the company has also unveiled a wristwatch, the W101, that retails for slightly less than $70 in the United States.

With a 1.43-inch screen diagonal and 466 x 466 resolution, the W101 boasts an AMOLED screen. Good color reproduction is promised by the display, which is said to cover 99.5% of the Adobe RGB colorspace and have a Delta E color deviation of less than 2.

Like with a smartwatch, WhatsApp notifications can be seen and controlled remotely, including the ability to use a smartphone's camera or play music. The watch can also be used directly as a stopwatch and a calculator.

The W101 has speakers and a microphone built in, so it can be used as a Bluetooth hands-free device with a paired smartphone. The smartwatch can also be used to communicate directly with smart assistants.

A user interface is promised by the RTL8763EWE-VP computing chip and 256 MB of memory. With typical use, the battery should last about 15 days.

In addition to the heart rate and blood oxygen saturation, blood pressure should also be able to be recorded, though it is highly unlikely that the blood pressure reading will be accurate, if it is taken at all. Customers do not necessarily need to wait for the Fossibot W101 because there is a wide variety of reasonably priced smartwatches available.
