New workout-related features for the Amazfit Active smartwatch are now available via the Zepp app. Real-time exercise analysis, AI training programs for running races, and extra post-workout data are some examples. Additionally, a quick way to access fitness metrics is now to simply wave your wrist.
An update for the new Active smartwatch is being released by Amazfit. With capabilities like GPS tracking and the AI Zepp Coach, the wearable made its debut in October. The brand announced the new software on its social media channels, along with a change log that outlined the more notable adjustments. The software focuses on workout tools.
An improved Zepp Coach, which can offer training schedules especially for 3 km, 5 km, or 10 km runs, is one of the new features. Whether training plans will be made available for races with longer distances in the future is unknown. PeakBeats has updated your performance data so you can view it in real time. After a workout, the tool can already display metrics analysis for things like VO₂ Max, Training Load, Training Effect, and Recovery Time. Your heart rate recovery is another metric that you can now view after working out; the Zepp app has this information.
With a data snapshot accessible with a single wrist gesture, Amazfit also alluded to an enhanced user interface. Although it does not go into detail, the change log points to additional improvements and bug fixes included with the update. Through the Zepp app, owners of the Amazfit Active wristwatch can download the update by selecting Profile > Choose your wristwatch > Check for Updates. It's still unclear if everyone has access to the Active smartwatch update already or if it's being released gradually.
