Thanks to a fresh beta software update, the Fenix 7 series has gotten even more bug fixes. The build is available for download as an over-the-air (OTA) update and is currently rolling out as Beta Version 17.19, replacing Beta Version 17.17.
With the Epix 2, Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Marq 2, and Quatix 7 (now available on Amazon for $599.99), Garmin is making rapid updates to these devices. Three unfixed problems and a new feature were fixed in the company's recent release of Beta Version 17.17.
Beta Version 17.17 has superseded Beta Version 17.16, which was a more significant update that Garmin sent to smartwatches registered in its beta program last week.
As of right now, an over-the-air (OTA) update for Beta Version 17.19 is available for download. Kindly be advised that, similar to what happened with Beta Version 17.17, Garmin is now blocking 'Pro' branded smartwatches from downloading Beta Version 17.19.
Furthermore, it appears that more beta builds will be released prior to Garmin releasing a new stable update, as electrocardiogram (ECG) capability is still disabled on Beta Version 17.19.
That being said, it appears that Garmin is getting closer to releasing its first stable update for the Epix 2, Enduro 2, Fenix 7, Marq 2, and Quatix 7 since Software Version 16.22 based on the release of Beta Versions 17.16, 17.17, and 17.19 within a week of one another.
Similarly, "updated translations" and a bug repair for "where a messenger message could fail to send" suggest that the corporation is almost ready to consider its software development for Beta Version 17.1x to be a Release Candidate.
