Coros releases a smartwatch update for April 2024 that includes new features

  • 25-April-2024

All smartwatches are now receiving the Coros April 2024 update. April 24th will see the release of the software's beta version; additional releases are scheduled for later in the month. A host of new features, such as screen mirroring and, in certain cases, enhanced GPS, are included in the update for the wearables.

For its smartwatches, Coros has revealed the April 2024 update. A Running Form Test and a Daily Stress measure are just two of the new features included in the software that was released with the Q1 release earlier this year.

Although many of the tools are probably limited to the brand's more recent models, the most recent update still includes a large number of tools for its wearables.

The April 2024 update brings screen mirroring, allowing your smartwatch and phone to provide an aligned view. This can be for activity data, such as your time, heart rate and pace, or navigation with any supported activity.

Coros has improved GPS accuracy for Outdoor Climb mode, and a Virtual Pacer helps you match your targeted distance or pace for your workout. Other enhancements include a refreshed activity screen and an FTP test for cyclists. The complete list of features and improvements can be found on the Coros website.

On April 24, the Pace 3, Apex 2, Apex 2 Pro, and Vertix 2 wearables started receiving the public beta update. On May 16, the Pace 2, Apex Pro, and Vertix 1 wearables will receive the update as well.

May 10th will see the general app store release for the first group of wearables, which includes the Pace 3. The update for the second group, which includes the Pace 2, will be available on May 30th. Coros has not yet confirmed which models will be equipped with each of the previously mentioned features.
