CMF Watch Pro 2 Spotted on BIS Site, Indicating Launch in India Soon

  • 16-May-2024

The replacement for the CMF Watch Pro, which was announced in September 2023, is expected to be released later this year and is called the CMF Watch Pro 2. Though sources indicate that it would hit the marketplace shortly, the wristwatch has not yet received an official announcement. The Watch Pro 2 is thought to be the new CMF model that was recently seen on a certification site, though the moniker has not been confirmed. More features than the CMF Watch Pro are probably included.

According to a 91Mobiles report, a smartwatch bearing the model number D398 was observed on the website of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). Some assume that this is the CMF Watch Pro 2. The listing contains no more information regarding the smartwatch. Nonetheless, the BIS certification points to a recent introduction in India.

The model number D395 of the current CMF Watch Pro was prominently featured on BIS. The next smart wearable appears to be a replacement for the original device, based on the similarity in numbers. But, especially in light of the pseudonym, readers are cautioned to treat the information with caution. The name guidelines for Nothing's audio products were altered earlier this year. It wouldn't be shocking if CMF, a Nothing sub-brand, applied the same methodology to catalog products.

Whatever name it goes by, improvements are probably in store for the CMF Watch Pro's successor. Along with other upgrades, one can anticipate a bigger display and longer battery life. AI-based integrations, an update akin to what its current audio product items are receiving, may also be seen in CMF by Nothing's upcoming smartwatch.

A square 1.96-inch AMOLED screen, a 340mAh battery with a stated 13-day battery life, and IP68 dust and water resistance are all included with the CMF Watch Pro, which retails for Rs. 3,999 in India.
