Casio is going to release the G-SHOCK, which has GPS and a heart rate monitor

  • 10-January-2024

Brand-new G-SHOCK shock-resistant watch models will be available from Casio Computer Co. Ltd. on January 19. One of the RANGEMAN series of timepieces, the new GPR-H1000 has an optical heart rate sensor and GPS functionality to function in even the most extreme natural environments. It is made to deliver true value in survival settings.

Professionals who operate in harsh environments are catered to by the Master of G line of G-SHOCK watches, which offer exceptional performance on land, at sea, or in the air thanks to features and functions tailored specifically for each of these settings. To help rangers and other professionals working in the harshest land environments—such as hot, rainy jungles and dense forests—RANGEMAN timepieces are among the best equipped with Triple Sensors, which measure temperature, altitude/barometric pressure, and compass bearing.

The new RANGEMAN GPR-H1000 is made especially to offer total toughness in survival settings, and its heart rate monitor and GPS functionality allow users to stay on top of conditions in these demanding environments.

Compass bearing, temperature, altitude/barometric pressure, and temperature are all measured by the Triple Sensor on the newly designed GPR-H1000, which is constructed with a structure resistant to mud and dust. A gyroscope for accurate compass calibration, an accelerometer for tracking activity like steps taken, and an optical sensor for heart rate are additional features of the new watch. And to get location information, there's GPS functionality as well. Users are able to monitor elements like blood oxygen level, heart rate, and direction—even in difficult environments—thanks to these thorough measurements that precisely track the wearer's movements and environmental changes.

Measurement features for nine field activities are also included in the new watch's configuration. When hiking, for example, the watch shows heart rate, distance traveled, altitude, and speed of ascent or descent, allowing users to monitor their physical state and surroundings to facilitate quick decisions. When faced with harsh natural environments, users can rely on this durable equipment for reliable support.
