On Wednesday at the Patliputra Indoor Stadium in Patna, the Jaipur Pink Panthers defeated the Tamil Thalaivas 42–27 in their Pro Kabaddi League Season 10 match.
With three legs of the league stage still to be played, the victory made Jaipur Pink Panthers the first team this season to qualify for the playoffs. While Narender, a raider for Tamil Thalaivas, scored 12 raid points in a losing effort, Arjun Deshwal shone for the Jaipur Pink Panthers with an incredible 13 raid points.
First half dominated by memorable moments: Narender started with a Super Raid to remove Sunil Kumar, Reza Mirbagheri, and Ankush, putting Tamil Thalaivas ahead. Not to be outdone, Arjun Deshwal launched his Super Raid to lower the number of Tamil Thalaivas on the mat.
To help his team maintain a slim two-point lead at the half, Thalaivas rookie Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi produced two outstanding Super Tackles.
The Jaipur Pink Panthers, however, changed the game completely in the second half as they united and asserted their championship credentials. Midway through the second half, Arjun's relentless had Tamil Thalaivas reeling, and they forced the first All-Out of the contest to take a 27-20 lead.
With four minutes remaining in the game, the Jaipur Pink Panthers took a commanding 37-22 lead before a second All-Out ended the match. Their misfiring defense, which had only scored three points in the first half, came back with 11 points in the second half, which was a major factor in their convincing win.
Arjun Deshwal, with 13 raid points, is the best raider.
Sahul Kumar is the best defender (4 tackle points).
With 12 raid points, Narender is the best raider.
Mohammadreza Kaboudrahangi, the best defender, recorded five tackle points.
