Apple has released the Apple Watch Series 9, their most recent smartwatch, in a new color option called (Product) Red. The new hue has been added to Apple's product lineup in support of (RED)'s international campaign to end HIV/AIDS.
The red Sport Band and red aluminum case of the new smartwatch complement each other. Additionally, Apple is releasing brand-new red watch faces, such as Solar Analog, that were created especially for World AIDS Day. The vivid color scheme of the (Product)Red Series 9 is enhanced by these unique faces.
The remaining smartwatch specs are the same as those of the regular model. In other words, it has a quad-core neural engine and a new S9 chip, which enable faster processing and better performance. Compared to the previous Series 8, it has an 18-hour battery life, 25% better dictation accuracy, and 30% faster speed.
With a maximum brightness of 2000 nits, it is twice as bright as the Series 8. With the new double-tap gesture introduced in the Series 9, users can now operate Watch functions without touching the screen.
Both Apple's online store and physical stores sell the Apple Watch Series 9 (Product) Red. The starting price in India is Rs 41,900, while in the US it is $399.
A portion of the smartwatch sales proceeds will be given to the Global Fund, an organization that finances HIV/AIDS initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa.
Since 2006, the company has maintained a partnership with (RED). The existing (Product) Red versions of the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 13, and iPhone SE are joined by the new Apple Watch Series 9 (Product) Red.
