A wristphone fashioned after an Apple Watch is set to be released soon

Every year, smartwatches get more and more powerful, but aside from their tiny screens, they can't fully replace smartphones due to their restricted software. The number of apps that can be used on even the Google Pixel Watch or Apple Watch 2nd generation is extremely restricted.

Because most smartwatches don't have banking apps, they aren't really a good substitute for smartphones. With the exception of Huawei, Fire-Boltt is the second-largest smartwatch manufacturer in the world. It recently unveiled a teaser website for its upcoming wristwatch, using terms like "revolution" liberally. The nearly square display, the rounded front glass on all four sides, and the placement of the digital crown are just a few of the design cues that indicate the Indian tech giant was heavily influenced by the Apple Watch.

The method for switching out the straps is even strikingly similar to the Apple Watch. The manufacturer, Fire-Boltt, explicitly states (in the tweet embedded below) that the smartwatch can replace a smartphone, indicating that innovation is coming. Fire-Boltt is expected to use Android rather than Wear OS in order to get around the software restrictions of conventional smartwatches, even though no hardware or launch date information has been disclosed.

Since third-party apps are unlikely to be optimized for screens the size of smartwatches, it is unclear how well Google's smartphone operating system will function on a device with such a small display. If Fire-Boltt is unable to solve this, operations may become very difficult. There is a "shortly" official presentation scheduled for the wristphone.
