A Pixel Watch 3 leak indicates that Google may release a new version this year

With the upcoming Pixel Watch model, Google may resolve a long-standing problem. 9to5Google reports that the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two sizes from the company.

Although the report doesn't provide official information about the sizes of the upcoming Pixel Watch 3, it does imply that the larger of the two sizes may have a marginally larger battery. Between the smaller and larger Pixel Watch 3 variants, there might not be any additional functional differences.

Google has only provided a 41mm version of the Pixel Watch up until now. Some users love the wearable's small size, but others like larger watches. Users can select from a variety of watch diameters offered by both Samsung and Apple. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic is available in 43mm and 47mm dimensions, while the Galaxy Watch 6 is available in 40mm and 44mm options. There are two additional sizes for the Apple Watch Series 9: 41mm and 45mm.

Thanks to the larger screen size and potentially longer battery life of the larger Pixel Watch 3, Google may be able to attract more people to the smartwatch. Unfortunately, Google has not disclosed any information regarding any alterations it intends to make to the Pixel Watch's display.

A long-ago Google patent is the only other clue as to what the Pixel Watch 3 might look like. According to the patent, new gesture recognition sensors may be included in the upcoming Pixel Watch. It appears that Google wants to make the smartwatch's already constrained screen area more navigable by streamlining its design.
