A One UI 7 waiting room is the newest security patch for the Galaxy S24 series

It was observed that Samsung was applying its monthly security patch to a number of its modern smartphones.

The December 2024 security patch is starting to be applied to the Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra, as observed by SamMobile. This is significant because smartphones with version number S92xNKSS5AXKA have been observed downloading the update in South Korea.

The Korean OEM has simply mentioned the existence of "security fixes/enhancements" with the December patch, making the changelog incredibly minimal.

According to a post by GalaxyClub (Dutch), which was featured in the publication, the update includes "eight" improvements for various issues, including the Settings app, DeX, One UI interface, and more.

In addition to 28 "High" level changes, Samsung's December patch changelog included six "Critical" level fixes. The business is fixing problems with ThemeCenter and a vulnerability that would have let an attacker "improperly" change the settings on your Galaxy phone. The inclusion of a fix for SmartSwitch's Cryptographic Signature should eliminate the chance of an intruder installing "malicious software" on your device.

In other news, Samsung reports that two changes have been added to its Semiconductor patch this month. The patches were implemented in collaboration with Google to address serious flaws that might have compromised your security.

The Galaxy S24 FE is getting a December security update based on Android 14 in Europe (vS721BXXS3AXK6), according to the GalaxyClub thread. Recent foldables, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 (model numbers F741BXXS2AXKC and F956BXXS2AXKC, respectively), are said to join the gadget.

The lack of a December security patch is probably due to Samsung launching the first One UI 7 beta last week. The rest of the flagship S24 series was invited, but the S24 FE was not. The beta has a number of new features and is running software based on Android 15. The "Now Bar," which is integrated into the lock screen to display "important notifications dynamically" without opening your phone, was described in depth in Samsung's announcement.

A recorded call can be automatically transcribed in 20 (supported) languages using the "Call Transcript" feature. Among many other things, the Knox Matrix dashboard provides users with additional security information about the devices they are connected to.
