Approximately one week after the release of Beta 9.16, Garmin has released another Vivoactive 5 beta update. The Vivoactive 5 is currently being released to beta testers using the same methodology as the Venu 3 and Venu 3S, to which Beta 9.18 was just released by Garmin. But the Vivoactive 5 has already skipped Beta 9.18 completely and moved on to Beta 9.19.
However, it seems that not much has changed between Beta 9.15, which was released two weeks ago, and Beta 9.19, which was released today. The identical new features and enhancements are specifically listed in Garmin's changelog and are as follows:
Extra rope exercise
New audio files must be downloaded in order to support male audio prompts.
resolving the problem of music playing at random
a bug where turning off wrist heart rate could result in a higher rate of battery drain was fixed
Fixed a bug that could have prevented scoring during a golf activity by altering a setting.
Comparable changelogs were included with Beta 9.16 that Garmin released. Consequently, no further explanation has been provided, making it unclear how Garmin has improved the Vivoactive 5 since Beta 9.15. But more and more people are reporting that installing Beta 9.19 led to excessive battery drain. It is purported that restarting and recharging an impacted Vivoactive 5 does not fix any related issues; one owner reported a 0.25% waste per minute.
