Soon, HarmonyOS 4 will be made available in China as a closed beta program to a limited group of Huawei Watch 3 series smartwatch users. Among other things, the most recent software is supposed to have 3D gaming watch faces and new lock screen animations. This year, the company has proposed a broader rollout of HarmonyOS 4.
With the HarmonyOS 4 beta, Huawei is updating older smartwatches with the newest software in China. Near the end of the previous year, the Watch 4 Pro, Watch GT 4, and Watch 4 were updated to the new operating system. It is now possible to register for a chance to receive the update for owners of the Huawei Watch 3, Huawei Watch 3 Pro, and Huawei Watch 3 Pro New.
Chinese customers have until January 9 to express interest in the HarmonyOS 4 beta program through the Upgrade section of the My Huawei app. Huawei will get in touch with those who are selected for the program a week later.
The program is looking for about 6,000 participants, who will be asked to share their thoughts about using the software. The update brings three-dimensional gaming watch faces, animations for the lock screen, and a new live window feature. In addition, users will have access to additional customization options and a number of other small wearables improvements.
Additionally, Huawei has stated that HarmonyOS 4 will be available on more devices this year. The Huawei Watch Buds, Huawei Watch Ultimate, and Huawei Watch GT 3 are on the list. The exact date of the HarmonyOS 4 update's worldwide and public release for Huawei Watch 3 series smartwatches is unknown.
