A luxury hybrid watch featuring an ECG, 10 ATM housing, and a 30-day battery life, the Withings ScanWatch Nova is released

  • 05-December-2023

Withings' attempt to close the gap between a premium diver's watch and a smartwatch is the ScanWatch Nova. The Nova has a mechanical dial, a small display, and intelligent features all housed in a stainless steel housing that is resistant to water.

A more opulent option to the ScanWatch 2 is the Withings ScanWatch Nova. The primary distinction lies in the stainless steel casing of a diving watch, which can withstand up to 10 ATM of water pressure and is therefore fearlessly worn for swimming or snorkeling. The diameter of the watch is 42 millimeters.

The hands and indices on the "sunray dial" glow in the dark. The dial is shielded from scratches by a sapphire crystal. It is possible to rotate the stainless steel and ceramic bezel. The dial subtly incorporates a tiny 0.63-inch round AMOLED display that is limited to grayscale viewing. Some of the smart features of the watch, or incoming notifications, can be seen on this screen.

The ScanWatch Nova, which has an electrocardiogram (ECG), skin temperature sensor, heart rate and SpO2 sensor, and other health features, is obviously a product of Withings. Along with sleep tracking, the watch can automatically track over 40 different activities. The battery lasts 30 days with typical use, according to the manufacturer. Android smartphones and Apple iPhones can both be used with the hybrid watch.

The cost and accessibility

The Withings ScanWatch Nova is priced at US$599.95 and can be purchased exclusively through the manufacturer's online store in three different colors: black, blue, or green. In addition to providing a sports wristband made of fluoroelastomer and an oyster metal wristband, Withings also sells other wristbands in-store for a fee.
